The University of Colombo Christian Fellowship a.k.a UCCF consists of a group of serious minded undergraduates who are found in the metropolis region of Colombo in a university termed as The best university in Sri Lanka also South Asia and also the world. Objective aren’t we??? Well I guess those are some of the many skills we are taught in our wonderful campus! To be objective, to reach for the sky and also to be those who do not deny the truth… about ourselves in particular!
The UCCF includes undergraduates from multi-disciplines and faculties which reflects the colour and the variety we have in the Colombo Campus. The Arts Faculty, the faculty of Management & Finance, the Law Faculty and the Science Faculty are represented in this fellowship.
We meet every week during the lunch hour (12-1p.m) in Room 107 (liable to change) near the English department for fellowship meetings. Our programmes vary from enriching times of praise and worship, sharing and praying with each other, games (yeah, well Campus life could be rather stressful and we do need time to unwind don’t we?) and times of in depth, soul searching Bible study. The topics we study range from Relationships, Sacrifice, Priorities, Ethnic Conflict, Discipleship etc and many more issues that confront the undergraduate daily.

Well…the initiation ritual is adopted from an Ancient Polynesian initiation ritual which requires the new recruit to stand on his head and have a wooden peg fastened to his/her leg and hung up at the entrance to the room where UCCF meets. (Right now the room is 107)
However, the easier way is to just come and see…which just means that you have to drop in around the time we meet…which is 12-1p.m and since the Arts Faculty could tend to be confusing even to the cream of Sri Lanka’s intellectual society (yes that would be you…since you’re one of the few who have got into campus) if you get lost just holler or send out a smoke signal and we’ll send a core member out to find you.
UCCF strives to build up undergraduates who are committed to the gospel of Christ and equip them to be the salt and the light of the University of Colombo permeating into every nook and cranny of campus and making an impact wherever they go.
